Article 1 General Rules
GeniX (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") values the privacy of its users and complies with relevant laws such as the Personal Information Protection Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. This Privacy Policy is designed to clearly explain the personal information collected in the course of using the services provided by the Company, the purpose of use, storage and destruction procedures, and member rights.

Article 2 Items of personal information collected

  1. Required items when signing up: ID, email, mobile phone number, password, exchange UID
  2. Optional: Referral code
  3. Items automatically collected when using the service: access IP, device information, cookies, access logs, transaction history logs, browser information

Article 3 Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information The Company uses the collected personal information for the following purposes

  1. Registration, identification, and service provision
  2. Conducting automated trading through exchange API integration
  3. Customer consultation, handling of complaints and delivery of notices
  4. Improvement of service quality and security management
  5. Prevent illegal and fraudulent use and respond to legal disputes
  6. Utilizing marketing and advertising (with prior consent of the member)
  7. The Company shall not be liable for any loss of investment by the Member, and the process of using the Service is entirely at the Member's own judgment and responsibility.

Article 4 Storage and Use Period of Personal Information

  1. In principle, the Company destroys personal information without delay when a member withdraws from the Company.
  2. However, in the following cases, we will keep it for a certain period of time according to the law.
  • Records of contracts/revocations under the Electronic Commerce Act: 5 years
  • Records of payment and supply of goods under the Electronic Commerce Act: 5 years
  • Records of consumer complaints and dispute handling under the Electronic Commerce Act: 3 years
  • Login records (IP, etc.) under the Protection of Communications Secrets Act: 3 months

Article 5 Procedures and methods for destruction of personal information

  1. The Company shall destroy personal information without delay when the retention period has expired or the purpose of processing has been fulfilled.
  2. Electronic files are permanently deleted by unrecoverable technical methods, and paper documents are destroyed by shredding or incineration.

Article 6 Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

  1. In principle, the Company does not provide members' personal information to third parties.
  2. However, it may be provided exceptionally if it is based on laws and regulations or if there is a legitimate request from an investigative agency.

Article 7 Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing

  1. The Company may entrust some tasks to external companies for the operation of the Service.
  2. When entrusting, the Company complies with the laws and regulations related to personal information protection and notifies the member of the entrustment.

Article 8 Overseas Transfer of Personal Information

  1. The Company may use overseas cloud servers (AWS, GCP, etc.) for stable service operation, and personal information may be transferred overseas during this process.
  • Items transferred: ID, email, access history, logs, etc.
  • Transferred countries: United States, Singapore, etc.
  • Purpose of transfer: Data storage, backup, service provision
  • Period of storage and use: Same as Article 4 of this Policy
  1. The Company will comply with relevant laws and international norms (GDPR, etc.) when transferring overseas.

Article 9 Protection of Personal Information of Children

  1. The Company does not allow children under the age of 14 to register for membership, and does not intentionally collect personal information of children.
  2. If it is discovered that children's personal information has been collected, it will be deleted without delay.

Article 10 Utilization of Cookies and Similar Technologies

  1. The Company may use cookies for the convenience of members and to provide customized services.
  2. Members may refuse to save or delete cookies through their browser settings. However, in this case, some restrictions on the use of the Service may occur.

Article 11 Measures to ensure safety to protect personal information
The Company takes the following measures to protect personal information.

  1. Minimizing and managing access to personal information
  2. Encrypted storage and transmission of personal information
  3. Installing and periodically checking security programs
  4. Technical measures against hacking, computer viruses, etc.
  5. Regular training for employees who process personal information

Article 12 Rights of Users and Methods of Exercise

  1. Members may request to view, correct, delete, or suspend the processing of their personal information at any time.
  2. The member may make a request in writing, email, Telegram, etc. to the person in charge of personal information protection, and the company will take action without delay.
  3. Members may withdraw their consent to receive advertising information at any time.

Article 13 Special Provisions for Overseas Users

  1. International members must comply with the privacy laws and regulations of their country of residence, and are responsible for any violations that may occur.
  2. If this Policy is provided in multiple languages, the Korean version shall take precedence.
